Which games are compatible with TriDef VR?

Additionally, over 900 games can be played in stereoscopic 3D when launched from the TriDef VR games tab. The full list of games playable in 3D is available on the Supported Games page.

Which VR headsets are compatible with TriDef VR?

TriDef VR is compatible with the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and other SteamVR compatible headsets.

Why do some games not launch in 3D and what should I do when that happens?

Games that are in our Supported Games list should launch correctly in 3D. If not, please submit a Support Request and we'll investigate.

Games that are not in the list may fail to launch in 3D for a variety of reasons. Some games have anti-cheat systems which prevent TriDef software from converting the game, while others use an incompatible 3D rendering API such as OpenGL.

If a game does not launch in 3D it's still possible to play the game with TriDef VR on a 2D virtual screen by launching the game from the desktop.

After launching a Steam game in 3D, other Steam games also run in 3D. How do I make those games run in 2D?

To make sure a Steam game runs in 2D, please close Steam and launch the game from the desktop. If you want to play a Steam game on your monitor, please close TriDef VR before launching the game.

Are DirectX 12, OpenGL or Vulkan games compatible with TriDef VR?

All games, including DirectX 12, OpenGL and Vulkan games can be viewed in 2D on the virtual screen, however only DirectX 9, 10 and 11 games can be played in 3D.
