Tribes: Ascend is free to play and still in closed beta. I have a few extra beta keys to give to anyone who would be willing to take on this task :)

There are several games that I should be looking at at the moment. (ie: that one SWTOR issue)

Hi,
I think this game is based on the unreal 3 engine?
Why not try any of the games listed in the quote, just look to see if the game has a tridef profile and then try that.
Example.
Tridef and generic driver does'nt work with Choplifter hd, but tridef and Alien breed descent profile works perfect ;)

I also want this!! This game is awesome :) I tried a couple of profiles and none worked very well. Any profile that works well with this game?

I have looked at this game on and off, and been trying to sort some issues.
I probably havnt looked at this game enough, but it is something I personally want to get around to looking at.
It's just a time thing....

I think I had it work well once with either UT3 or Generic profile, but I don't think it was reliable. I also found I had some issues focusing when it was in 3d, and so I turned it back off and went to 2d mode again. I still haven't gotten all the hardware around to deliver great framerates in 3d yet, so I've been pretty relaxed playin older games in 3d more than new ones. :)

I can't seem to get this working. When try to run it I first get the message "Failed to find default engine .ini file to retrieve My Documents subdirectory to use. Force quitting." After I get the message "This game isn't compatible with Direct3D9, 10 or 11. It may not be compatible with Tridef 3D ignition."

I'm using the game profile provided in this thread and use the "TribesAscend.exe" executable.


Edtit: I'm sorry. I was using the wrong executable. Instead of "TribesAscend.exe" I should have been using HiRezLauncherUI.exe. At least I hope someone else can learn from my mistake.
