Viewing A Single 3-D Image

This topic describes the simplest methods for viewing single Photos (TriDef Photos, other 2-D compatible 3-D files or TriDef 3-D image) without having to create a TriDef Slideshow. If you want to save any Custom 3-D or Scaling Settings for your Photo use File > Save As to create the beginnings of a Slideshow.

Tip: All Photos are shown in 3-D Mode, but you can switch between 2-D and 3-D using the keyboard shortcuts 2 and 3.

TriDef Photo files

When you double-click a TriDefPhoto file, the TriDef Photo Viewer starts up, and shows a small 2D preview.

To display the image in 3-D, do one of the following:

Double-click the 2D preview. This displays the Photo in Preview Mode where you can adjust the Custom 3-D Scene Depth and Custom 3-D Focal Point while viewing in 3-D
Click the Play button

To return to Photo Viewer, either press Escape, click the Close Preview button if you can see one, or click the Stop Stop button.

2D-compatible 3-D JPEG, PNG, BMP files and TriDef 3-D image

If you double-click one of these files, your standard graphics viewing program or web browser will open and you will only be able to see the 2D version of the image. To view in 3-D you have to start the TriDef Photo Viewer first:

Start > (All) Programs > DDD > TriDef Photo Viewer > Photo Viewer

Now you can drag and drop the file from the desktop onto the TriDef Photo Viewer window, or click the Open button and find your file that way.

To display the image in 3-D, use the same methods as for TriDef Photo files, above.
