Creating A Background Ramp

About Background Ramps

  1. Select the Background Tool Background Ramp tool from the Toolbar.

    Tip: The keyboard shortcuts for this tool are R or Shift+R

  2. An extra line, color swatch and Depth value box will appear on the Depth Picker. The red line corresponds to the left swatch/value and the green line corresponds to the right swatch/value.

  3. A horizontal line will appear across the bottom of your Photo in the Drawing window. Use the handles on the ends of the line to adjust its position.

    The red Depth value is used above this line.

    Below the line is a grade from the red Depth value to the green Depth value.

  4. Select any drawing tool to exit the Background Ramp mode.

Tip: Create a flat background at any distance by leaving the horizontal line at the bottom of your image: you will only need to adjust the one Depth value.
