The TriDef Photo Transformer is a software tool which allows you to convert 2-D image into 3-D, for viewing with glasses-free (autostereoscopic) 3-D Displays.
Start Photo Transformer by choosing Start -> (All) Programs -> DDD -> TriDef Photo Transformer
To convert an image you start by telling Photo Transformer about the relative depths of objects in a still image or photograph. That is, how far away they are from the viewer. It's just like painting an image with points of black, white and gray, but these points are refered to as Depth Data.
You only have to provide small amounts of Depth Data; Photo Transformer figures out the depths of everything else in the entire image to create a complete Depth Map.
This Depth Map (stored inside a TriDefPhoto file) is then used to generate the 3-D version of your image on a 3-D Display.
2-D Image + Depth Data = Depth Map and 3-D
Once you have a TriDef Photo file you have
