Adjusting 3-D Setting In Powerpoint
Every Depth based TriDef Photo is created with its own original 3-D Scene Depth and 3-D Focal Point, added in TriDef Photo Transformer or TriDef Photo Builder. These original settings can be adjusted or replaced when viewed by other TriDef applications. You can not adjust the 3-D Settings of Multi-view TriDef Photos (or other types of Multi-view).
You should always adjust the 3-D Settings for individual Photos before applying any Presentation Modifiers. You will often find that the latter are not required.
Note: Whenever you export a TriDef Photo or TriDef Slideshow from TriDef Photo Transformer, TriDef Photo Viewer, or TriDef Photo Builder, the 3-D Settings are also transferred to PowerPoint. [More information about multiple transfers to the same PowerPoint file.]
Custom 3-D Settings for a single slide
Custom 3-D Settings replace the original settings as provided by the content creator. If Presentation 3-D Settings Modifiers are selected, the final 3-D effect is a combination of Slides and Presentation settings.
These settings are not available for Multi-view TriDef Photos (or other types of Multi-view).
Select the slide.
Choose TriDef > 3-D Slide Properties
Tip: The same menu is also available when you right-click on a TriDef background.
Click on the 3-D Settings tab.
To set a Custom 3-D Scene Depth, use the slider or type a new number.
Tip: 0 is 2D.
To set a Custom 3-D Focal Point:
Choose the Value or Percent Scale, then use the slider or type a new number.
Tip: The Value scale is recommended only if you are familiar with the Depth Map used to create the Photo.
Percent (0-100%):
0% sets the 3-D Focal Point to the very back of the scene
50% sets the 3-D Focal Point to the middle of the scene
100% sets the 3-D Focal Point to the very front of the scene.
Value (0-255 gray scale):
0 sets the 3-D Focal Point to the very back of the scene
127 sets the 3-D Focal Point to the middle of the scene
255 sets the 3-D Focal Point to the very front of the scene.
Click Apply or OK.
The slide will now redraw and you will be able to see the new 3-D effect the next time you view the Presentation.
Modifying the 3-D Settings for all slides in a Presentation
3-D Settings Modifiers are optional and adjust the 3-D Settings for each Photo. They can be used, for example, to increase the 3-D Scene Depth of the entire Presentation by 10%. These settings do not affect Multi-view TriDef Photos (or other types of Multi-view).
Choose TriDef > 3-D Presentation Properties
Click on the 3-D Settings tab.
Select the 3-D Focal Point Modifier checkbox and use the slider control to adjust the 3-D Focal Point of every TriDef background in the Presentation.
Select the 3-D Scene Depth Modifier checkbox and use the slider control to adjust the 3-D Scene Depth of every TriDef background in the Presentation.
Click Apply or OK.
All the slides will now redraw and you will be able to see the effect the next time you view the Presentation.
