Why does the Movie stop abruptly in the middle?
This can happen if you have used a non-continuous image sequence as a Video Source.
Why does TriDef Movie Player complain of a missing Decoder license?
The Encoder and Decoder licenses must match for any particular TriDef Movie to play.
Why is the movie cropped?
AVI files created with the Cinepak Codec are not supported as Video Source files. On playback, TriDef Movies created with these files are cropped.
Why does the color in the Movie look washed out?
A 'half color' effect will result if all left eye views are black and white, while the right eye views are color. This happens when a TriDef Movie is created by using 2-D and Depth Video Sources, instead of Left and Right Video Sources. TriDef Movie Encoder 4.0 only supports Left and Right Video Sources.
Why does the 3-D look very weak or too strong?
Review the separation of the two views in the Video Source files.
Review the 3-D Settings.
Review the original source material. Not all 2-D Source translates well into 3-D even if you have a perfect separation. See Video Source for more tips.
Why does the 3-D look reversed?
The 3-D effect will look reversed if the Left and Right video sources are specified incorrectly. Make sure that the Video Source files have been correctly rendered and labelled, and that the Video Format option in Movie Encoder matches your Video Source type.
Why is the Movie scaled badly?
The custom Compressor Profile Resize option may cause image distortion. Use the TriDef Movie Encoder Height and Width controls instead.
Make sure that the Aspect Ratio setting matches the Video Source.
If you are using a 'Side by Side' format make sure you have selected the appropriate 'Full Width' or 'Half Width' Video Format option to match your Video Source.
Why does a restricted Movie play on a system without a restricted Decoder license?
Movie Encoder adds all the Encoder licenses it can find to TriDef Movies. As some Movie Encoder products are shipped with a general Encoder license included, you have to 'hide' this license from Movie Encoder to prevent it from being added to the TriDef Movie. You can do this by moving the license to a different folder, or by temporarily renaming the license file extension.
Why does the Movie play too fast or too slow?
For image sequence Video Source input you have to manually specifiy the Frame Rate. Make sure the setting you choose matches the original 2-D Source material.
For movie Video Source input the Frame Rate is detected from the Video Source files themselves. Make sure that these source files were rendered with the correct settings.
