Privacy

Dynamic Digital Depth's policy is to respect and protect the privacy of our web site users. We support your right to make informed choices about the use and collection of your personal information. This privacy policy explains what type of information is collected when you visit our web site and how we treat that information. We may update this policy from time to time, so please check back periodically for any changes.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that DDD does not own or control, or to people whom DDD does not employ or manage.

Overview of information collected

DDD collects personally identifiable information when you register with us, contact us for information, order DDD products or services, request product support and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes that we may have from time to time. We use your personal information to customize the content and advertising you see on our pages; to facilitate transactions and communications between DDD and you; to fulfill your requests for certain products and services; and to contact you about specials and new products. We may ask for your name, e-mail address, address, gender, age group, and occupation, as well as other information about your computer and business. If you make a purchase from the DDD web site you will be asked for credit card and other financial information. We maintain information collected for a reasonable period of time. Except when necessary to complete a transaction, this information is used in aggregate to identify web site usage trends and thereby help us improve our site and make it more interesting and accessible to our users.

Use of IP Addresses

An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. It is used by web servers to identify your computer and "serve" web pages. DDD collects IP addresses for the purpose of system administration and auditing the use of our site. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are bits of information that a web site transfers to an individual computer's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. The use of cookies is an industry standard that you will find at most web sites.

DDD uses information provided by cookies in aggregate to tell us about usage trends on our site. Cookies help us improve our site by providing us with information such as which areas are most popular, total number of visitors and what types of browsers and user connections are most frequently used.

Most browsers are set up to accept cookies, however, you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to notify you when a cookie is being sent. You can do this in the preferences or options menu in your browser.

Children

The DDD web site is principally a business site and is not targeted to children. Nonetheless, we recognize that some of the content on our web site may be interesting to children and they may visit our site.

Children's privacy is important to us at DDD. We are committed to safeguarding children's personal information collected online, and to helping parents and guardians exercise control over their children's personal information. DDD encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children. No information should be submitted or posted on the DDD web site by children under 13 years of age without the consent and oversight of their parents or guardians.

When a child under the age of 13 enters his or her age by filling out a contact form, or requesting free materials on the DDD web site, his personally identifiable information is automatically blocked and is not recorded or stored in any location, either online or offline. The child is informed that he is unauthorized to request or receive information from DDD and that he must have his parent or guardian complete any request for information or free materials.

DDD may retain aggregated non-personally identifiable information, such as total number of user requests under the age of 13, gender, user platforms and connections, for the purpose of monitoring web site usage trends.

DDD will not provide any personally identifiable information about persons that are known to DDD to be under the age of 13. At no time will DDD sell or rent your child's personally identifiable information to any third parties and we will only use the information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Disclosure to Third Parties

DDD will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties. DDD only shares your personally identifiable information with third parties when:

  • We have your consent to do so.
  • We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of DDD to provide a product or service for you on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, authenticating and clearing financial transactions, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us unless they have your consent to do so. Whenever we hire other organizations or individuals to provide support services, we will require them to conform to our privacy standards.
  • We need to respond to valid legal process. This includes a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, and any other instance when we believe we are required to do so by law. We may also make disclosures to protect your safety during emergencies if we reasonably believe your safety is at risk, to protect the security or integrity of the DDD web site, or to take precautions against liability. We will take reasonable steps to limit the scope of these disclosures.

We will let you know if your personally identifiable information will go to third parties for any reason other than these, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information (opt-out).

DDD does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites or third parties to whom you may link from our site, and we do not give them access to DDD's cookies.

Security

The security of personal information is a high priority at DDD. We maintain the DDD web site and all associated data with technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect against loss, unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, modification, and improper disclosure. We follow security procedures such as encrypted administrative communication, restricted access to underlying machines, and firewalls at network access points. We also use Secure Socket Layers ("SSL") for financial transactions where you enter your credit card information. However, no computer system or information can ever be fully protected against every possible hazard. DDD is committed to providing reasonable and appropriate security controls to protect our web site and its information against foreseeable hazards.

Access to and Correction of Personal Information

DDD is committed to maintaining accurate, timely, relevant, and appropriate information about users. DDD gives you the ability to review, correct, and update the information that we maintain about you, including your preferences and whether you want DDD to contact you about news and new products, at any time. If you remove or change information on our system, the information may be retained for a period in our backup systems, which protect against the possibility of failures in the computer system. Information about purchases made through the DDD web site may be retained for longer periods as required by law, contract, or auditing requirements.
