TriDef Ignition
Overview
Ignition is our next generation game driver which replaced
TriDef Launchpad and includes the following features:
- Generic DirectX9 game support
- Windows XP and Vista support (32bit)
- Supports ATI and NVIDIA graphics cards
- Unique Auto Focus technology for improved 3-D
- Optional "Virtual" 3-D render mode for performance
- Make your own game profile and share it online
Getting Started
TriDef Ignition is part of the TriDef 3-D Experience
and can be downloaded from our Downloads Page.
Once you have downloaded, installed and activated the
TriDef 3-D Experience, please perform the following steps:
- Install one of the supported
games on your computer.
- Start TriDef Ignition, go to Start -> All Programs
-> DDD -> TriDef Ignition.
- Double click a game icon in Ignition to play it in 3-D.
Adding a game to TriDef Ignition
To run a DirectX9 game in 3-D simple drag-and-drop a
shortcut to the game, or the executable (.exe) on to the
TriDef Ignition interface. Alternatively, you can select
File/Add Game (Ctrl-N). Fill in the "add game" properties
including a game name, which is used in the TriDef Ignition
interface; a game profile (see below) and the location of
the executable file, if this has not already been filled
in.
TriDef Game Profiles
Game profiles are used to configure the core 3-D game
driver to work optimally with a specific game. If there is
no specific profile for your game simply select the
"Generic (DDD)" profile. A number of DDD certified profiles
come pre-packaged with the TriDef Ignition Beta, these
include the string "(DDD)" in the profile name. In
addition, there are also a number of Beta game profiles
"(BETA)", which have undergone less rigorous testing. When
adding a new game, please check to see if a specific
profile already exists for this game.
Users can modify game profiles through the in-game
on-screen-display (see below). Once the user has modified
the game profile it will be saved.
TriDef Game Profiles are designed to be modified and shared
by users. An online discussion forum has been setup to help
users share profiles for their favourite games. Check the
TriDef Game Profiles thread for new
profiles.
In future releases of TriDef Ignition, advanced tools will
be provided to those users who want to fine tune the 3-D
appearance and performance of their favourite games.
Controls
To see/edit the list of hot keys available within TriDef
Ignition refer to Tools/Options in the Ignition interface.
It is now also possible to configure a different set of hot
keys for each game. Please refer to the game properties
menu in the TriDef Launchpad interface
Within the game a number of settings can be modified using
the on-screen-displays (OSD). By default the OSD is
opened/closed using the Numpad-0 button (ensuring that Num
Lock is on). The numpad arrow keys can be used to navigate
and change settings within the OSD.
Performance Tuning
TriDef Ignition has a number of features that can be used
to maximise performance and quality on your system. The
online forum has a thread dedicated to peformance tuning, which
contains some helpful hints.

TriDef Ignition through your suggestions. Please feel free
to notify of us of any issues or suggestions. Please use

means of support. We will be checking this regularly.
