I have new HD 6990 Graphic card provided by AMD.
also, I have already bought your softwere named AMD HD3D Tridef 3D.(50% discount)
However, I can not Tridef 3D softwere after my PC is installed by me to HD 6990 graphic card.
1 month ago, I used your softwere(Tridef AMD HD3D) in AMD 6970 graphic card.
But I changed my AMD graphic card to AMD HD6990.
My serial key is not supported AMD Hd3D when I pressed Action code button.
Why does not support AMD 6990 graphic card?
please, update your softwere Tridef 3D!

Could you please send us your TriDef Diagnostic Results?

"Start" -> "All Programs" -> "TriDef 3D" -> "Utilities" -> "TriDef Diagnostic Tool"

and then send us a Service Request:

http://www.tridef.com/support/service-request.html

Please include your PC-Name:

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Computer Name

Thanks,

harebear80,

When you are finally able to get your 6990 functioning, you probably will not see much (any) difference from your 6970 card performance, unless you are running multiple displays or using a new Display Port 1.2 monitor. I currently have a 6970, and I have shared my experiences with it - primarily in the Other Displays forum discussions.

AMD confirmed that all 6000 series cards, including both the 6970 and 6990, are constrained by the current generation HDMI 1.4a communicaton chips to 1080P, 24Hz 3D frame packets. So, Ignition can create more rendered frames, but only 24 FPS will actually be sent via HDMI 1.4a. The cards still respond to 60 Hz controller interaction (very responsive), and, in my opinion, the 24 FPS looks very good (this rate is common for movie display).

The GPU cooling fan noise may be an issue, as well. I have found that, for high performance cards like the 5870, 6970, and 6990, the stock cooler can become very noisy during active gaming periods - especially if you are considering overclocking the card. Good third-party cooling solutions (like Arctic Coolings 6970's product) are only now starting to emerge for the dual-GPU 6990.

I plan to wait for graphics cards with the next generation PHY chips before I upgrade again, especially since the 6970 renders most games (highest resolution settings) above this 24 FPS limit. Hope this information helps you.

1080p @120hz, 60hz per eye is possible on Dual-link DVI, so depending on what whyme466 is using for his display it may actually make a difference.

I believe that dual-link DVI should support 1080P60 bandwidth. However, like youbecha, I could not find any software/drivers to support HD3D/HDMI 1.4a via DVI-DL (I did not want to have to abandon my new Apple 5870 card). Rather, I had to use an end-to-end HDMI solution - no dual link DVI and no DVI to HDMI cable connection.

I think that few (no?) current 3D HDTVs may be able to accept this 1080P60 DVI-DL signal via HDMI, even if one could find the appropriate software drivers. I would like to test my Panasonic VT25, if this source could be identified (Panasonic would not tell me what my VT25's performance would be, if it were to receive a 1080P60 signal).

I believe that traditional 3D monitors can accept a 1080P60 DVI-DL signal without using HD3D and HDMI 1.4a. The size of these 3D monitors have been limited for several years, with only recent product announcements expanding beyond 24-inch sizes - like Acer's new 27-inch monitor, supporting both DVI-DL and HDMI. I have favored a larger display for more complete game immersion.
