I have an S23A750D and an AMD 6950.

My monitor has two inputs: HDMI and Display Port
My video card has both of these outputs.

I've read a number of posts regarding the AMD/Samsung set-up, but I can't seem to get my monitor to run in frame sequential, no matter what combo I use. So far I've tried an HDMI connection with SyncMaster TriDef and TriDef Ignition. I've tried DisplayPort with SynchMaster Tridef and Tridef ignition, but no matter what I do 3D either doesn't work, or shows up in Side-by-Side. I bought this video card/monitor combo because both were recommended by AMD's HD3D site. This is super frustrating = (

My question is: Running Windows 7 x64 how can I get this monitor to run in frame sequential mode?

You could try completely removing the ATI Drivers and reinstalling them with the AMD 11.10Beta 2 Drivers.

I have the same problem. Using the 11.10Beta 2 Drivers.

TriDef 3D Control Panel doesn't list this display. I believe that this i a problem with TriDef:

just curious to see if recent drivers have fixed your issues with frame sequential.

Also care to give some feedback on this monitor for 3D? I'm teetering on selling off my eyefinity setup for one of these

I've only got to play with a nice CRT and edimensinal glasses in interleved mode and the effect is ok but obviously the image is dim (putting the monitor in to interlaced mode dims it by 50%, and then the glasses dim some more) and not as sharp as it could be. Ghosting is very apparent on my setup with the depth increased and colors are washed out (again low brighness and etc due to interlaced).

I did read one thing that discouraged me on the samsung though... the glasses use CR2025 batteries and are not rechargeable....??

I'm just wondering if I would see a world of diffrence goign from my current setup to the samsung for 3D, or not much of one. No one really gives much feedback on this so please give some if you can!

If people are still having this problem:

1. You don't have to select the monitor in tridef > just select amd hd3d
2. If you keep getting 2 screens : turn off you're crossfire

If you have a lot off ghosting/crosstalk : set youre displayspeed to normal


Those things worked for me anyway...

I also have an S23A750D, and I wasn't able to get Frame Sequential mode to work with the Catalyst 11.12 driver. I uninstalled 11.12 and installed the 11.5b driver as suggested in the following thread and it works for me (hopefully only a temporary solution):
